The Newcastle curriculum follows Curriculum for Wales (CFW) with a range of option lessons available to pupils within each of these Areas of Learning Experience (AOLE).
All pupils will have a bespoke timetable from their personal choices, opportunities include:

The department continually evaluates pupil voice and outcomes to create new opportunities and courses to meet these needs.
Similarly, the development of the coffee shop as an area to deliver qualifications in customer service and enterprise has gone from strength to strength, having received a Food Hygiene Rating of 5 by the Food Standards Agency, becoming a meeting place for a wide range of staff and pupils and catering for external events within the school.
